Pilgrim’s Challenge

Once again Kirkcaldy Presbytery is working in conjunction with EMMS International to raise funds for healthcare work in Malawi, India and Nepal. The Pilgrim’s Challenge event will take place on Saturday 19th September 2015.

The challenge follows part of the proposed new Fife Pilgrim Way route, a long-distance heritage route for walking or cycling from Dunfermline to St. Andrew’s, using existing core paths.

  • Auchterderran to Kinglassie      2 miles
  • Kinglassie to Leslie                        3.2 miles
  • Leslie to Christ’s Kirk                   2.2 miles
  • Christ’s Kirk to Markinch            3 miles
  • Markinch to Windygates            3.5 miles
  • Windygates to Kennoway          1.8 miles

Distances are approximate.

Participants are free to walk or cycle at their own pace for as far or as little as you like. However the following churches have agreed to open at the times below. N.B. We are still working on alternative cycle routes for parts of the path which are unpaved.
