St Margaret’s Church, Glenrothes

St Margaret’s is the oldest church in Glenrothes serving Woodside, Pitteuchar and the eastern part of Auchmuty.

In our church we are known for hospitality and our pancakes which are made on the premises by the Pancake bar for the Toddler groups.

We welcome and believe that everybody is somebody and that Jesus is Lord. We appreciate that different people like to worship in different ways and so we offer people choice on Sundays:

9:30am  –  a shorter all-age service in the informal setting of the New Halls using modern worship songs.
11:00am  –  a more traditional service in the church

We still see ourselves as one church so we come together on the first Sunday of each month in the church at 10:00am and during some holiday periods. We don’t have a Sunday School any more but do have a thriving children’s club on Monday evenings. As well, there are study groups, Alpha courses, the Guild, the work group, the Praise Band, the Good Companions Group for those of mature years, Toddlers three mornings per week, occasional Messy Church etc.

We have recently been awarded Dementia Friendly Status after changes to our buildings and training undertaken by our staff and volunteers.

Our halls are also used by a range of groups including Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

We don’t forget the wider community and World with our support for the Foodbank, Gilven House, the YM/YWCA, a church in Sri Lanka, Tear Fund, Christian Aid and the Persecuted Church Overseas.

Much more information can be found on our website.
