The church and hall are situated in Beauly Place (KY2 6EX) at the centre of the Templehall community, overlooking the shopping centre, next door to the library and dental practice, with the Community Centre across the road. Sunday services, Sunday School and crèche start at 10:45 am. Preaching is very much Bible-based. This has been the principle since the church was established in 1952.
Many of the members work together in small groups such as the prayer team which leads prayers during the Sunday service. Others read the lesson, provide tea/coffee after the service, clean the church, deliver the “Templehall Times” magazine, collect spectacles for a charity and prepare used stamps for sale, also for a charity. Others lead a service at Appin House Residential Home once a month, while yet more lead Bible Study and Prayer groups. Each talent from computing to DIY is needed. It’s good to be involved and share with others.
The Guild meets on Monday evening at 7:00 pm and a warm welcome is assured. The Friendly Hour gathers at 2:00 pm on Thursday for fellowship and prepare for filling shoeboxes for the Blythswood Charity nearer Christmas. Meanwhile the Men’s Fellowship is enjoying carpet bowls, and a Jigsaw Library is available fortnightly for members and non-members alike.
The members of Templehall Church aim to realise how much God loves them, respond with trust and grow in faith. This we can achieve by sharing in worship, supporting one another, by using our talents for the good of others and by building bridges into the community and the worldwide church.
